Why This Is Needed

Falls, bedwetting and slow changes in vital signs almost never happen while a caregiver is standing next to the bed. They happen at night, in the bathroom and in the small hours — which is exactly where traditional care has no coverage.

Elderly care fails in the hours nobody is watching

Falls go unseen
Residents reject wearables

Cameras are a non-starter

Night rounds do not scale

Bedwetting is found hours later

Vital signs drift silently

Most falls among the elderly happen at night or on the way to the bathroom, when nobody is in the room and the difference between a bruise and a fracture is how fast someone responds.

ECG electrodes, wristbands and finger clips all depend on the resident remembering to wear them. Compliance drops within days, especially for the elderly and those with cognitive decline.

Video monitoring solves the coverage problem but creates a dignity and privacy problem — and people flatly refuse it in bedrooms and bathrooms.

Manual inspection is labour intensive, cannot cover every bed at the same moment, and leaves a paper record that is hard to trace or analyse afterwards.

A wet bed means skin maceration, odour, chill and disturbed sleep long before a carer notices. Without an alarm the change is only discovered on the next check.

Heart rate, respiration, blood oxygen and body temperature change gradually during sleep. Spot checks once or twice a day simply cannot catch a trend.

At night, the old man sleeps soundly in bed, while the radar guards in silence
Nurses making rounds, the risk has already been seen at the moment it occurs
Family members don't need to stay by the bedside to feel at ease
What This Delivers

What the care system has to deliver
Continuous monitoring
Earlier Warning
Privacy and Dignity
Reduce caregiving burden
All-weather perception of the elderly's status, whether in bed or out of bed, without requiring any cooperation from the elderly.
Turn risk into an opportunity for intervention, and issue a warning before it is still too late to act.
No cameras, no wearables, no image data—monitoring that can be installed in the bedroom.
Centralized, automated record-keeping, replacing manual inspections and handwritten notes.
Solution Overview
Three-tier perception, one monitoring platform

The solution combines a non-contact 24GHz radar vital signs monitor, a wetness sensor pad, and a 60GHz fall detection radar, with all three reporting uniformly to the same web backend and mobile app, so caregivers see a complete picture rather than three separate systems.

Application Features
ASK824-S Non-Contact Radar Vital Signs Monitor
Smart wetness-sensing pad — bedwetting detection

TASA-2B fall detection radar

A 24GHz FMCW bio-radar that reads vital signs through the air, without the need for a camera, and without the need
to wear any device on the body.
The sensor pad is integrated with the leak-proof barrier, placed under the bedsheet, detecting immediately the moment wetness occurs, rather than waiting until the next inspection round.
A wall-mounted or corner-mounted 60GHz FMCW radar tracks posture and movement through the air, issuing an alert the moment a fall occurs—no sensor pads, no wearables, and no cameras required.
Detects bedwetting and incontinence immediately and triggers the bedside alarm
Fall detection plus behaviour anomalies: staying in bed too long, not returning, unusual night activity, reduced mobility and prolonged sitting
Heart rate, respiration rate, blood oxygen saturation and body temperature
55 × 90 cm sensing area, lightweight and reusable, with the alarm and leak barrier built in
60GHz FMCW radar, detection range 7 meters (corner mount) / 5 meters (wall mount), horizontal 90° / elevation 90°
In-bed / out-of-bed state, tracked continuously day and night
Wired to a bedside alarm unit with adjustable volume
Wall or corner mounting at 1.4–2.2 m, so it also covers the bathroom and the corridor
Dual-band 2.4G / 5G Wi-Fi, connected to the cloud via MQTT
Low-battery warning on the alarm unit, so the alarm never fails silently
2.4G Wi-Fi for data with BLE provisioning; SDK integration
Dual-band 2.4G / 5G Wi-Fi with MQTT to the cloud platform
Works in the dark and in a bedroom where a camera would never be accepted
Works together with disposable pads or towels when required
IP54, DC 5V/2A, 3 W, 148 × 105 × 24 mm, 156 g

System Architecture
From the sensors in the room, to the hands of the caregivers

Four-layer architecture, built on Alinket-based IoT modules and gateways: perception, connection, monitoring, and response.

The same architecture serves a single bedroom and a multi-floor nursing home: sensing terminals in the room, Alinket connectivity to the cloud, and one web console plus mobile app for the people who respond.
Ward-grade coverage, home-grade comfort

Platform and APP Features
A web backend, a mobile app, covering the entire floor

The monitoring platform is designed for elderly care institutions and families: real-time wall monitoring, management of the elderly and equipment, automatic reports, and multiple notification channels that can reach caregivers.

Central Monitoring Center
Elderly care management
Device Management
Each bed displays real-time heart rate, respiration, blood oxygen, and temperature on one screen, including trend arrows, as well as color-coded statuses for online / offline / needs attention;
Grid view supports 8, 16, 48, and 64 beds.
Bind each elderly person to a bed and device, showing the in-bed / out-of-bed status,
record admission and discharge, and support one-click export.
View device overview by region, including online/offline counts, signal strength, target distance, accessory status, and last update time, so that failed sensors are exposed before incidents occur.
Alarm and Escalation
From event occurrence to response, it takes only seconds
Typical Scenarios
Place where the plan applies
Rehabilitation
Post-operative and semi-disabled residents who cannot be left unattended, with continuous vital sign trends.
Bathroom & corridor
A wall- or corner-mounted fall detection radar for the bathroom and corridor — the areas where falls most often happen.
Nursing home & ward
A monitoring wall for the duty room, fall-detection radars for high-risk residents and automatic night records.
